1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Runs and drives perfect 12000 Miles
1968 Chevy Chevelle. Runs and drives perfect frame off restoration in 2019 started by pulling the Chevy down to the frame and did a chemical dip of the body. They then cut out all the bad metal and installed new panels. The drip rails were shaved for a slicker look. The body was the set back on the frame so they could installed the rest of the panels to ensure a good fit before paint. They wanted a more stealth look so they did all the chrome and stainless in black. For paint they covered the body in Matte Gray. we wanted to keep the stock look so we used the correct bucket seats and console. We did do an upgrade to the gauges with AutoMeter Sport Comp. Also, added a Stainless Tiger cage along with 3” Racing Belt. The momo steering wheel is mounted to an Ididit Column which is tilt. This car is also set up with Vintage AC with the control in the dash. Under the hood it's powered by a 415 CI LS3.
The trans is a Tremec 6 Speed with a 12 Bolt Rear End by Moser with 355 gears and true trak unit. Also, this Chevelle has a custom Aluminum Radiator with Twin 16” Fans. The fuel pump is from Welbro and it has a Stainless fuel Tank from Ricks Hot Rods. Up front it has the First Air Ride Remote Resevoir Titanium Shockwave System offered for a Chevelle. It has Nitrogen filled shocks with Ride Height Sensors. They used a Detroit Speed 12.7 Ratio Gear Box and 13” Wilwood 6 Piston Caliper Brakes. Out back the brakes are also by Wilwood with 12” Rotors and 4 Piston Calipers.
