1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 Tribute 39823 Miles
This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 Tribute gets it right. After all, you have an iconic classic in a terrific color combo. Plus, it's a true muscle car with a bucket seat interior, four-on-the-floor, and serious big block power. The Hugger Orange is an iconic color that debuted for 1969, and since this one was an update later in life, you continue to have a good gloss and shine for this vibrant hue. And it has a great canvas thanks to well-fitting panels. Even the big chrome bumpers were given a solid investment to keep it all looking stylish. As a proper Super Sport tribute, this one gets the pieces correct. The black full-length SS396 stripe, dark grille, and blackout rear panel make a nice contrast against the orange paint. There's also the double power dome hood, correct badging, wide dual exhaust tips, and a set of mag-style wheels. So it's the kind of muscle machine that you'll proudly take a few laps at the cruise-in before taking a prime parking spot. We love it when the exterior accent color is also a preview of the interior color. Plus, you can never go wrong with a Chevelle in deep black. A good look on the seats, dash, and carpeting are all part of an inviting package. The radio even has an aux input to plug in your iPod or phone for upgraded driving music. It's easy to get comfy with front bucket seats, a center console in-between, a dual-spoke SS steering wheel, Sunpro aux readouts, and a Hurst floor shifter. Under the hood is a 396 cubic-inch big block. And we love the way this one looks with its bright Chevy orange radiating a powerful message from within the dark engine bay. It goes further than even Chevy did for power with performance upgrades like a newer Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, and long tube headers feeding the dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. There are the right supporting features too, like an aluminum radiator and a newer fuel tank. It's a powerful package, and the Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission means you have complete control over the motor and its rumbling soundtrack. There's even a 12-bolt rear end, boxed rear arms, and a sway bar for the right SS-style setup. And because this has been built to be an all-around great cruising classic, you also get power steering, power brakes, and front discs.
