1955 Pontiac Chieftain Marietta Blue and Beaumont Blue
Fans of Pontiacs and American motoring history want to take note of this car. The 1955 Pontiacs like this Chieftain had a new V8 and modern '50s styling that was a turning point. And this is a wonderfully restored car with a terrific story. So when you have the opportunity to own such a great example, at such a value price, it's time to act quickly. The Chieftain was the entry-level Pontiac in 1955, but it has enough bright trim and an awesome two-tone to make sure it looks anything but basic. You can tell there has been some investment that has gone into this significant Pontiac over the years. In fact, the story we're told goes back more than 20 years. The consignor knew of two Chieftains in Connecticut that were restored exactly the same by a father and son so they could have a matched pair. The father eventually offered both for sale in 2002, and the consignor considered himself lucky to get two passion project Pontiacs finished to such a high level. He would go on to sell both cars, but it made such an impact on him that he bought this one back! And you can see exactly why. This still shows good care from back when the father and son did the restoration. The Marietta Blue and Beaumont Blue are a period-correct two-tone that continues to look attractive today.
