1973 Ford Bronco dependable daily driver 421 Miles
This is a great Bronco! Tons of fun and definitely an easy, dependable daily driver.
I will go right in to the laundry list of upgrades and they should speak for themselves...1) 365hp 306 V8 engine with high output roller cam, all new seals & gaskets, new starter, water pump, alternator, ignition coil, oil pressure sensor, thermostat, water hoses, plugs, wires, battery, and distributor.2) New Summit Racing 600CFM 4-barrell carburetor with electric choke 3) New AX-15 5-speed manual transmission complete kit with clutch / flywheel.4) New twin stick transfer case shifters from Tom's Off Road.5) New ceramic polished shorty headers with complete new custom dual exhaust from the headers to the tail pipe tips. (Turbo mufflers)6) New pinion yoke and u-joints.7) New complete new power steering conversion with modern steering box.8) New complete 4-wheel power disc brake conversion9) New complete steering linkage, track bar, steering stabilizer shock, tie rods, ball joints, & radius arm bushings10) 2.5" suspension lift from Wild Horses11) New Goodyear Wrangler 33 x 12.5 x R15 tiresNo rust decay on this Bronco anywhere. Very light surface rust on the bottom of the floor pans. (light brush with a wire wheel and some primer will fix).
Mechanically, this Bronco is a monster and ready to go. Only 350 miles since all the engine / transmission work was done. Just changed out the break-in oil and re-tightened the header bolts. No leaks anywhere of any kind. Master cylinder had a small leak from the top gasket not seated correctly. It has been adjusted and re-tightened. Seems to be fine now. Body is in incredible shape. Looks to me like only the hood has been replaced at some point because the underside is not painted, but it is primed and rust free.
