1957 FORD FAIRLANE 500 SUNLINER CONVERTIBLE
For 1957, Ford came with an all-new full-size lineup that addressed the market’s growing demand for “lower, longer, wider” automobiles. Ford designed a remarkably vehicle with a new perimeter frame that allowed designers to drop the floor pan, and therefore the car’s overall height. The luxurious 500 was introduced at the top of a lineup, including the glamorous Sunliner convertible. Named for Henry Ford's Dearborn estate, Ford's premium Fairlane line alongside the Thunderbird helped Ford record its best sales year since 1923.

This automobile is finished in the original Red Flame and Colonial White (code VE) over a Colonial Vinyl and Flame Embossed (code AU) interior. The White power top is the original and in good condition with small blemishes that do little to detract from the otherwise fine presentation and originality.
The paint is great, original, and with incredible depth. The body is very straight with perfect panel fit, as well the trim, hubcaps, chrome, and gaskets - typical of unmolested cars. The interior presents in exquisite condition with an amazing original upholstery, carpets, and gauges, including the original set of keys.
The drivetrain was rebuilt by the original owner alongside with cooling system and radiator, rear differential, brake system, and hydraulic system for the convertible top.
