1965 Ford F 100 Restomod Patina big block power upgraded suspension
This 1965 Ford F-100 Restomod is a lot of fun wrapped into a patina package. That means fuel-injected big block power, an upgraded suspension, overdrive transmission, a custom/comfy A/C interior, and more... and it's all done with a cool shop truck vibe on the outside. So it makes for a fun custom offered for a terrific price. You know you like the way this one looks. The turquoise paint holds close to some of the colors of 1965, and so gives an impression like the factory paint was aged for generations. Faded badging, a touch of age in the front bumper, and a properly used bed are all part of the real-use style. But as you notice the good body panel, new window felts, and polished American Racing Torq Thrust wheels, you start to see how this is something more. It has the kind of shop truck vibe that will have you thinking about making up a cool logo for your fictitious speed shop so that you can stencil it on the doors. While the exterior tries to be a bit incognito with the upgrades, the interior doesn't hide anything. The solid white paint is the background for a fresher style with the newer carpeting, smooth dash, and other good fundamentals. The seats are now a modern TMI dual bucket setup with comfy bolstering a race car-like stitching. You also have plenty of comfort upgrades like cup holders, provisions for a Bluetooth stereo (the speakers need wiring,) and cold-bowing air conditioning. It's a true river's restomod with a sports steering wheel, a tilt column, and cool yellow-accent gauges. Plus, the fuel injection control module on the center console lets you know there's something extra special under the hood. Under the hood is awesome big block power. Ford 460 cubic-inch V8 wasn't even around yet in 1965, but this one has the largest big block around and is just the base for a full-performance build. The shop notes tell us this has a Lunati roller cam and roller rockers. There are also Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads, an Edelbrock Victor Jr 460 intake, and headers feeding the dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. It's all topped with a FAST electronic fuel injection system for the best power and consistency. You'll see good supporting components, like a March front runner belt system, an Optima red top battery, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The full package looks clean and complete because the low odometer represents this truck's miles since completed. This is powerful, but it's also built to be a solid all-around driver. That's why you have an upgraded Mustang II-style front end with adjustable coil overs, power steering, and front disc brakes. Plus, the transmission is a 4R100 unit by Monster Transmission. So it's built stout enough to handle the power and gives you nice overdrive cruising. Patina, on the outside, hides all the comfort and power within. It makes this incognito restomod such a cool classic.
