1967 Chevrolet Corvette L68 outstanding collectible 427ci 400hp
This 1967 Corvette is an outstanding collectible.
For starters, this beautiful car has been with the same enthusiast owner for the last 32 years, receiving excellent care along the way. Further, it is also a rare 427ci 400hp tri-power car with its original, numbers-matching engine and 4-speed transmission. It has lots of niceties including side exhaust, power steering, and the original warranty book. And it has seen plenty of work and proper maintenance over the years, making for a truly turn-key car that could be driven anywhere right now. As a 1967 this Corvette represents the final and most popular year of the C2 generation. The lines are design perfection, especially with that big block hood. Both the NCRS shipping report and the trim tag show a production date of 4-3-67 for this car. It has seen one repaint in its original code 986 Silver Pearl, which despite being more than 30 years old is holding up very well. The Soft-Ray tinted glass appears all original with date codes ranging from January-March 1967 and is in remarkable condition. The frame and birdcage appear solid throughout, while the black convertible top has been replaced and looks great. The Rally wheels wear BF Goodrich redline tires with 2022 date codes. A front license plate frame is also included. The engine compartment is a beautiful sight as well. It features the number-matching L68 427ci 400hp engine. With three carburetors and hydraulic lifters this was one of the rarest engines that year, even moreso than its solid-lifter L71 cousin. This one was completely rebuilt in 1992 with 17k miles since.
