1965 Shelby Superformance MKIII Cobra 427SR Roush high gloss black paint
1965 Superformance MKIII CobraWe have here a 1 of 1, custom designed, 1965 Superformance MKIII Cobra. We call this one the "BLACK MAMBA".
The car features high gloss black paint with matte black racing stripes. The body built in South Africa by SUPERFORMANCE, is chassis # SPO3577. Comes with the Superformance black out kit, along with a highly sought after Roush 427SR engine, which we also had Roush do a black out kit on it. Also equipped with the desired Tremec TKZ transmission and gear box kit. When we received the car, we felt it needed more black, and less chrome and silver, so we did a lot of unique touch ups. Some can be seen in the photos, like the original steering wheel, which we had sanded down to the bare wood and had re-stained and polished to a high gloss black and matte center. We had the rims powder coated in a high gloss black. The fans and fan motors removed and painted black, along with the air intake, washer fluid bottle and many of the caps and covers seen on the motor. We also installed a black fire extinguisher and did a black matte vinyl wrap on the gear shifter, emergency brake lever, hood rod, and fender vents.
