1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Red on black 582 Merlin III V8
Wow! This Chevelle is one bad ride! Red on black! Over $40k since 2018 alone! 582 Merlin III V8! Tire killer!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this Chevelle is in good condition, and appears to be an older restoration that has been given new life under the hood. Purchased by the current owner several years ago, this car has been used as a weekend warrior!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: We can't think of a better color choice for a Chevelle of this vintage than red with black stripes! This car is sure to turn heads while parked, which is to say nothing of when it is burning rubber! The paint appears to be an older repaint, and is what we would describe as driver condition as it is showing some normal age and wear.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The only color interior to put in a red Chevelle is black! Black bucket seats with the console give this Chevelle that textbook muscle car feel, and although the interior looks to have been redone a number of years ago, it is in good overall condition and could be described as good, driver quality. The vinyl seats are comfortable, and the horseshoe automatic shifter makes you feel like you're piloting a rocketship!
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: While this Chevelle retains a classic, familiar exterior look, it is anything but underneath the cowl induction hood. There sits a 582 Merlin III V8 engine with Patriot heads, Patriot headers, an Edelbrock intake, and a Holley Sniper fuel injection set up. The engine and install alone was nearly $8,000 when it was done in 2018! Tack on another $1,500 for the Sniper kit (not including installation!) and we are rapidly approaching the $10,000 mark-and that's just the engine. Underneath, this car is equipped with dual Pypes mufflers, UMI Performance front sway bar, CPP control arms, and a variety of polyurethane bushings. Take a look at the underside, and you'll also notice a Milodon oil pan. Power front disc brakes ensure that this Chevelle stops safely, and that's the only thing more important than making sure a car can go!
