1965 Dodge Coronet 572 V8 ROTISSERIE RESTORATION 564 Miles Rare
Unique Mopar lover's dream! It is a 1965 Hemi Coronet restomod. The build was completed in May of 2020. It underwent a complete rotisserie restoration including full media blast followed by new lower quarter panels, trunk pan, front floor pans and fenders. The body is laser straight, and solid! It has been repainted in base coat/clear coat black and the interior is chrysler red. The most compelling thing about this car has to be the 572 inch hemi. It is fully documented in the included binder. The engine builder estimates it to be 750HP at the flywheel. It is a brand new steel block, aluminum Edelbrok hemi heads, magnesium cross ram intake with period correct 770 Holley carbs! Fuel is fed to the hemi via a stealth pump inside the brand new factory fuel tank. In case you are worried about trying to read spark plugs to tune a cross ram with two holley four barrels, the builder installed two wide band O2 sensors, one for each exhaust bank. The exhaust starts with 2" TTI headers and goes back through 3 inch pipes and sounds unbelievable. Power is sent through a fully rebuilt Torqueflite 727 with billet rotating assembly and then through a Gear Vendors overdrive which is very nice for highway driving given the rear axle is a chrysler 8 ¾ with a Detroit TrueTrac and 4.10 gears (brand new). There's even an indicator light on the shifter console to let you know when the OD is engaged. The switch to engage the OD is a button on the T handle of the Cheetah shifter which is also brand new. The axle is held to the frame by super stock leaf springs that were moved 3 inches inboard to make room for huge tires. The rear fenders were tubbed as well. Every step was done with painstaking attention to fit and finish. The front suspension is a traditional torsion bar setup with heavy duty, hemi torsion bars, brand new as well! There are adjustable shocks and disc brakes at all four corners. The wheels are 17" vintage five spoke style American Racing mags and there are Mickey Thompson drag radials at the rear to put the horsepower to the street.
