1977 Ford F150 Custom 4X4 fomoco pickup custom 4x4 351 v8 auto trans
1977 Ford F-150 has an attention-grabbing shine and the right creature comfort for an enjoyable drive. But as cool as this is, it's also a true V8-powered 4x4 that can get the job done whenever you want. The factory-correct Jade Metallic finish has the kind of premium appearance that knows how to command attention. The green truly has an Emerald-like shine thanks to the investment in a professional respray. And the full-length trim knows how to show off the impressively straight body. However, this truck's appearance is also built for function. For example, there's added function within the brightwork. That imposing grille houses crystal clear headlights, and the rear bumper has upgraded lighting and a space for a trailer ball. Plus, the liner paint in the bed not only makes this pickup ready for the show field on Saturday, but it can also hold your Home Depot run on Sunday. And those polished 15-inch ProComp alloys really highlight the lift of the go-anywhere 4x4 suspension. Open the door, and you'll see some obvious signs of an investment in keeping this truck comfortable. The tan vinyl bench seat looks newer, and the same can be said for the coordinating carpet, dash pad, and door panels. The exterior green paint is used on the dash and accent pieces to add some nice color and give the truck a nice uniform feeling. There are well-integrated details, like the retro-style AM/FM with Bluetooth and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) The driver gets a grippy wood-rimmed steering wheel, and beyond that are the original gauges looking crisp and clean in a wood-like panel. Powering this pickup is Ford's trusty 351 cubic-inch V8. This already powerful motor gets enhanced even further by inhaling deeply through an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Weiand intake. Plus, it feels like it has an upgraded cam that makes for a more aggressive V8 and a nice tune out of the dual exhaust. But beyond added power, it all looks particularly nice and clean style that lets you know you have a strong runner. Basically, it's ready for the car show, except you're likely going to want to get dirty on the way there. After all, it's hard to resist taking this one off the pavement considering it's a 4x4 with a two-speed transfer case, a four-inch lift, Rancho shocks, and a great set of Wild Country tires.
