1982 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 2F Restored Engine
My friend and I bought this nice 1982 FJ-40 Land Cruiser back in early 2019. We have really enjoyed working on its restoration. It is nice when we drive it around since we get a lot of compliments from other people telling us how fantastic it looks.
We really did not plan to sell this truck but due to all the things that happened in 2020 we consider that its time has come to be owned by another enthusiastic collector.
We bought and imported this 1982 FJ40 from South America (Venezuela) in October 2019. The truck is finished in gray over a black and gray interior, and power comes from a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a two-speed (H2-H4-N-L4) transfer case.
The power coming from its recently refurbished 2F engine, has no equal with other cars we have driven before.
We have restored, renewed and replaced some parts in this truck. These parts include new wheels, tires, badges, headlights, spark plugs, filters (oil, air and gasoline). Other parts and components replaced (by new factory OEM parts), gas tank, clutch slave cylinder, starter, alternator (refurbished), water tank, wipes, turn-light's flasher, and a complete electrical - lighting system done by a local shop recently in December 2020.
The truck has been repainted in a shade like factory Dark Gray in Venezuela in early 2019. This includes complete body painting, as described in Venezuela(May 2019), and here in the USA (early December 2020) to fix minor details, to revive and to refresh the complete painting.
New black 15″ steel wheels have been installed along with BF GoodrichRugged Terrain T/A tires that were installed in December 2019. A matching spare is mounted outback.
