1962 Chevrolet Corvette Red on Red Modern Custom Fuel Injection
This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is an award-winning classic. It also is an upgraded machine with a fuel-injected V8 and A/C to make it a better driver. So it's an all-around irresistible total package.
The exterior really shows off that kind of style today where it looks terrific and not over-restored beyond stock. So you have a bright look of the Roman Red , There are also beautiful chrome bumpers, quad headlights, stock wheel covers, a proper trunk, and well-fitting panels. But as you dig deeper into the total package, you're going to find worthwhile upgrades to the interior and engine bay. We love it when these C1s come with both tops. After all, the soft top has a stylish look and it lets you button-up quickly, and the color-matched hardtop gives this a coupe-like profile. But for true distinction, we prefer to run with no top at all. The carpeting, dash, door panels, and bucket seats all have the look of quality, and so the bold red of the interior goes well with the exterior. But while this looks sock, right down to the three-spoke steering wheel, there are some nice worthwhile upgrades. This includes modern R134a air conditioning that lets you enjoy open-top motoring even in the summer and a Modern Radio with Bluetooth , push button and Mic , USB adapters are included to charge your devices. When you open the hood, the large/flat air grabber, polished distributor shield, and Corvette script valve covers all give this the look of stock. But as you dig a little deeper, you'll see this is a 350 cubic-inch crate V8: a displacement larger than anything available in 1962. And the addition of the new MSD fuel injection system gives you better power and consistency for a solid all-around driver. Power steering, front disc brakes, and an automatic transmission complete this easy cruising package. The previous sale came with the Bloomington Gold award info, owner's manual, and maintenance records. The previous consignor also claims to have additional items, including 327 V8 engine, Borg Warner T10 four-speed transmission, rear end, and steering column. (These are large/oversize items at the previous consignor’s house and we are working with this Gentleman to find these items and make them available for purchase it will have an additional cost ship if the buyer chooses but no guarantees are made at this time). This one is a great classic that's also a great driver. So if you like to enjoy your icons to the fullest, this is the one.
