1966 Chevrolet Impala SS V8 Convertible 427 engine
This is, what appears to be, an older Frame off Restoration of an original 1966 SS V-8 Convertible.
The 427 engine would have come with a manual transmission only in 1966 and this car is an automatic. That said, it is an incredible car. The engine is very powerful and the car is extremely clean underneath. It does not appear to have been in the weather. The top of the radiator is polished brass and there are polished aluminum overflow tanks and valve covers. The front shock towers are hydraulic and operated by a compressor in the trunk and toggle switch on the shifter console. The compressor has its own brand new Interstate Battery. The shock towers are painted to match the red engine compartment paint. The suspension looks to have been completely updated with large sway bars front and back. 4 Wheel Disc Brakes with brake proportioner under driver's seat. Weld Racing Wheels with excellent tire tread.
