1936 Ford Deluxe Stan Vermiel built 59L block
Engine: 3000 miles since built, Stan Vermiel built 59L block, ceramic lined exhaust with French 4” crank and rods. Ross forged pistons. Schnieder 260F cam, highlighted Navarro heads, big valves, relieved, ported and port matched. Polished Offy regular intake with two rebuilt 97s w/choke. custom air cleaners, Mallory dual point dist., Red’s Headers, Smithy mufflers and bespoke stainless-steel tailpipes. Rebuilt ’39 spec. transmission. 3.54 (new gears) powder coated rear end, Brassworks radiator polished tank, with flex-a-lite fan, and polished expansion can, corrected speedo. . Easily run 75-80mph on highway.
Suspension and running gear:
Front: Superbell dropped axle and ’37 spindles, powder coated single leaf front spring, Pete & Jake oil filled tube shocks , anti-roll bar, panhard bar, rebuilt ’37 Ford steering box, chrome drag link and tie rod
Rear: powder coated single leaf rear spring with tube shocks. Powder coated 16-inch 1940 Ford wheels, Firestone WWW 16-600 (new, less than 750 miles). Underside of the car looks better than when rolled off Henry’s line.
Brakes:
11 inch Wildwood disks in front, ’40 ford drums in back, (bolt patterns match), 7in booster under floor, residual valves and proportioning valve. Stainless brake lines.
Exterior:
Louvered hood w/ spears removed, lowered headlights, powder coated grill, spare tire removed, spare tire holes mount license plate, back bumper moved in. Chrome on bumpers very good. Underside of car hardware replaced with stainless steel. 37 Ford hood ornament.
Electrical:
12 V generator, group 27F battery in NHRA battery box in trunk, panel on battery box has master cutoff, voltage regulator, starter solenoid. Dual horns.
Lighting:
Halogen headlights in stock buckets, turn signals- ’47 ford parking lights in front, ’37 Ford taillights mounted on bumper irons. Stop lights on relay to protect hydraulic brake light switch
Interior:
LeBaron Bonney seat, door panels, visors, vintage headliner. Working original dash, plus Ford vintage style tach. Rear window cranks down smooth and front window cranks out easily.
