1948 Lincoln Continental Regal Blue Only 452 made
Only 452 were made. Last year of this model and the V-12. One of the last cars to be recognized as a genuine classic. This car was inspected and serviced right before we took possession: Rebuilt carb, coil and condenser, battery, fluids, 1 window lift.
EXTERIOR: It has been restored for several years and the body is still solid. It has innovative push button door openers, original Continentalkit and fender skirts. Repainted its original color according to the original build sheet. The paint presents very well but has flaws. The chrome and trim is also complete, shiny and straight. It presents itself very well but isn't new. The convertible top is power operated. It's a light colored cloth top in overall good condition.
INTERIOR: Genuine leather upholstery in great shape. Door panels are upholstered to match. Clear red plastic steering wheel and knobs are in great shape. Overall the dash area is very good- chrome, controls, gauges etc. Seatbelts were added in front.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is the last V-12 made by an American manufacturer. The motor is very clean, it looks like it has been out and apart. The nuts and bolts, carb, plug wires etc are clean. All the components look real nice. The air cleaner, horns, fuel pump, generator look clean. It was very recently serviced- rebuilt carb, replaced battery, coil, condenser and fluids.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's bigger than it looks! Inside is completely carpeted with bound edges.
UNDERSIDE: It appears to be solid and proper. I don't see any rust or patches. Maintained as needed. The master cylinder, muffler, starter were replaced. Looking up at the motor it is very clean. It has a 3-speed manual trans with overdrive. Very impressive car, impressive enough to be a genuine classic.
