1967 Chevrolet C10 Short Bed Truck with mechanical upgrades
Chevrolet C-10 with many performance and mechanical upgrades. Engine:2004 LM7 5.3 Liter sourced from a donor Silverado with a documented 54K miles when installed. Approx. 60K total miles now. Doug Thorley headers, MSD wires, Cold air intake, braided wire harness, Fragola braided PTFE Teflon lined hoses and AN fittings from engine to the Boyds aluminum fuel tank mounted between the bed rails. Running a Wallboro 255 fuel pump and GM fuel regulator. New GM radiator, hoses, clamps, tensioner and idler pulleys, engine block painted Chevy orange.
Transmission:4L60E Stage 3 with a 2000 RPM stall converter and Hughes deep sump oil pan fully rebuilt by Finish Line transmissions in Bensenville IL. 3" Aluminum drive shaft with 1350/1310 U Joint. Derale trans cooler with braided cooler lines running from transmission with AN fittings.
Rear End: Rear differential original 12 bolt truck with 3.73 gears and factory posi. Still running strong, has slight pinion howl on de-acceleration. Could use an overhaul as it is 53 years old, but very functional. Occasionally Posi does not engage.
Suspension:4 wheel disc brakes stopping 20" wheels, CPP front and rear anti-sway bar, CPP rear pan hard bar, CPP tie rods and end links, CPP Performance quick ratio steering box, KYB front and rear shocks, 3" drop front spindles stock springs, 5" rear drop springs.
Body: Originally from the South - truck has solid floor pans, outer rockers have been replaced, doors are solid and original with very little apparent repairs, no rust in fenders or quarters. Cab corners are still solid and a magnet will stick to all areas, so whatever repairs were made before the re-paint were minimal. All in all very solid - no rot through whatsoever. Typical scale / surface corrosion under the bed floor Truck has been repainted by the previous owner in a single stage paint that has been recently wet sanded and buffed, it was originally orange. Still has factory markings on the front firewall. Paint condition is not a show winner, but presents itself well for a daily driver. Original fuel filler on cab has been eliminated and primered. Bed floor has some lumps and bumps and cosmetic blemishes from being used throughout its life with some pin holes. Fuel filler cap installed in bed. New windshield. New wiring harness for whole truck with ATO fuses.
