1977 Ford Bronco SUV beautifully restored off-road Beast
This beautifully restored 1977 Ford Bronco is an off-road beast and urban warrior. The frame off restoration was completed approximately 2250 miles ago at which time a new odometer was installed and set to zero. Power comes from a new ATK 351 roller engine with an Explorer serpentine setup, Holley 650 carb, Summit Racing HEI distributor and Champion aluminum radiator with Ron Davis shroud. A Fitech fuel injection unit and electric fitech fuel pump is also included. The 351 is mated to a fresh C-4 transmission with Hughes performance torque converter and deep pan with two fender mounted external coolers. A Dana 20 with Wild Horses extreme rear output system, Tom Woods driveshafts and a Ford Tru Trac locker with 31 spline chromoly rear axles combine to put power to the road. All suspension is new including JBG shocks, Hellwig front and rear sway bars, James Duff classic traction bars, Wild Horses 3 ½” rock crawler coils and 3 ½” rear leaf springs and Tom’s Bronco long travel radius arms. There is a 2” body lift. The stopping power rivals it’s horsepower with all new brake components including front discs, stainless steel lines, Hydrotech hydraulic brake assist system and floor mounted emergency brake. It has an aggressive exhaust note through Ford Motorsport ceramic headers and dual Flowmaster mufflers. LED lighting illuminates front, rear and interior. The cabin features Auto Meter Z-Series gauges, tilt steering, PRP seats, 3-point seat belts front and rear, lockable console and under seat box, JB Fab twin stick, Kenwood stereo and speakers and USB and 12V charging ports in the custom dash. Passengers are protected by a 6-point Tom’s Bronco family cage and shaded by a Rampage soft top. The body was thoroughly refurbished with new front fenders, rockers, kick panels, pillars, NOS floor pans, rear quarters and doors. Doors received new Scott Drake vent windows, glass and regulators. PNW quarter guards and Tom’s Bronco fender flares compliment the orange base coat - clear coat exterior. Frame and axle housings are powder coated black. The bumpers and rocker guards are custom made. There is a 12,000lb front mounted winch with remote control and the rear bumper accommodates a tire carrier, high lift jack and 5-gallon Jerry can. Wheels are new 16x10” polished aluminum Ions with BF Goodrich All Terrain 35x12.5” tires. There is a matching spare. This is a well-engineered Bronco comfortable on trails and the street. There was no bolt left unturned during the restoration and it’s the center of attention wherever it goes.
