1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe Restored Excellent Driver
This is an exceptionally well optioned and documented frame-on restored 1969 Corvette Stingray Coupe with removable t-tops and rear window. Factory upgraded with highly desirable “Regular Production Options” including the 350 CI /350 HP Motor, 4-Speed Manual Transmission, Tilt-Telescopic Steering Column, Air-Conditioning, Power Steering and Power Brakes: I’ve spent over three years replacing or rebuilding almost everything on this car (except for the differential): making this Stingray an excellent driver!
EXTERIOR
Iconic body lines present beautiful two stage Tuxedo Black paint, color sanded and buffed to a highly defined gloss. (The paint job is a little more than two years old and has some minor imperfections upon very close up eyeball scrutiny: so if you’re looking for a show car or a new car, it ain’t me babe.) Before the respray, we removed EVERYTHING (all chrome and exterior/ interior trim) to replace with all new weatherstrip complete, new emblems (all fourteen): and the car looks great! All of the chrome has been re-plated. We also installed new exhaust tips, new chrome exhaust bezels, a new license plate bezel and new chrome door handles with gaskets.The brand new BF Goodrich Radial TA tires look excellent mounted onto the factory rally wheels with original center caps and new trim rings. (The original spare tire carrier is in good shape still retaining the factory full size spare tire and no one has put a jack underneath it.) All of the lights work (all four taillights and the two front turn signal lenses are brand new reproductions) including the vacuum operated headlights and wipers concealed beneath the vacuum operated wiper door. We rebuilt the entire vacuum system with new boots, a brand new wiper door actuator and all new correct reproduction hoses.
INTERIOR
We’ve done a lot of work to the interior! This Stingray has received all new reproduction carpet, door panels, seat covers, center console, rear compartment door assemblies and custom cross flag “Lloyd’s” floor mats. The new reproduction rear view mirror works flawlessly and the reproduction door sill plates shine beautifully. You’ll also note with the original factory black seat belts still work well. The horn button is also new, displaying its crisply colored new cross flag emblem on the factory optioned tilt-telescopic steering column we had professionally tightened up. We also installed new rubber boots that drain the rear deck vent grills through the interior (beneath the rear window and above the rear compartment doors.)
All of the working gauges (except for the clock) present crisp beautiful colors mounted in the new reproduction gauge bezel where the factory stereo remains present in its original station, however we discreetly installed a Bluetooth amp (behind the passenger side dash) connected to new speakers: so music/ apps can be played from your smart phone! You’ll even notice the stock positive lockout shifter which still requires placement into reverse for removal of the key as original (factory installed security feature.)
